Who is BigJD
Former metal guitarist / vocalist for Canadian power metal heavyweights Wicked Angel, BigJD, is now a talk radio personality producing 5 internet talk radio shows & podcasts. Some shows are broadcast live on WKBR. All shows are available as podcasts from the iTunes Store. They are free to subscribe. Just go to the iTunes Store (if you have iTunes) & search BigJD and the shows will come up. Don't have Apple's FREE iTunes Music Player? Get it! You can also go to the RSS feed of any show to listen to the podcasts by clicking the show links on the left. Of course, BigJD prefers you use iTunes and subscribe to the shows. If you just don't get it, there is more info below. NOTICE: As of May 18 only The JABBERCAST will be live on WKBR. All other shows will go strictly PODCAST. All new PODCAST episodes will be available some time on Sundays. Subscribe from iTunes. We will no longer broadcast shows on WKBR on Saturdays. The JABBERCAST will continue to re-broadcast on AllTalk Radio Saturdays at 3PM EST.

About Online Radio
Here we shall attempt to clue you in on internet radio, RSS feeds, podcasts & how you can listen to the internet radio shows.
Internet Radio: similar to terrestrial radio, but instead of using an actual radio you use your computer. You listen from a station's website from what is called a "stream" of audio. You could also listen from most software based music players like Real, Windows Media or iTunes. iTunes is the best. It is also what is called an "aggregator" which will play and update RSS feeds. Many tv & radio stations, including internet radio stations, also offer podcasts mp3 downloads) of their shows, so folks can listen to them later. Listening to the internet radio stream is usually done by a player on their website or clicking on a link that will play using the music player on your computer, such as windows media player, real player or the best one of all, iTunes Player. VideoLan Player is great, also.
RSS Feed: is sort of a live web page in that it is constantly updated with new information, such as podcasts or news feeds, and your aggregator, whether it be an actual aggregator program or a web browser (most read feeds now), will update the info. Again, iTunes is great for this. It will always check for updates to feeds (podcasts) you subscribe to (usually FREE) and download the new episodes to your computer & also sync them to your iPod. If you use a different mp3 player, you can load them on manually or even burn episodes to cd to listen to in the car or wherever.
Podcast: Simply a pre-recorded talk show or music show, usually in mp3 format and set into an RSS feed for easy download to your computer music player. Some are talk shows, some comedy, there are even video podcasts. The great thing is, if you miss a live show or a news broadcast from radio or tv, in many cases, the stations make podcasts available for listeners "on the go". Simply go to the iTunes Store & in the search field, type in bigjd. Most of BigJD's shows will show up. Search EzMac on it's own and The Rare Rock Show is not registered there for © reasons.

Also, BigJD & Lippo are available "LIVE" at showtime during The JABBERCAST via Yahoo Messenger. Don't have that? Get it! Our user name: thejabbercast Add it to your contact list in Yahoo Messenger. The JABBERCAST is also available from iTunes. So, if you miss the live shows you can hear them later. We hope you will tune in Sunday mornings & listen “LIVE” and also support WKBR by listening to the station.
