Welcome to the Rare Rock & Heavy Metal Show. I am DJ BigJD & it's my pleasure to bring to you some of the awesome rock & metal ya just don't get to hear on traditional radio anymore, rarely at best. And also, some great bands you may not even have heard at all, like The Rods, Riot, Blackout, Torch & more.

Okay, you know me as a Harley ridin', Axe slingin' Talk Radio DJ, but...... did you know my shoulder hurts? Hahahaaaa.... Inside joke to most of ya's.
Seriously though, I played in a big touring / recording metal band for a zillion years, called Wicked Angel, from Canada. Had a few indie releases & a couple vids on MTV & Much Music...
Did lots of studio work for others, as well, and even had my own recording studio for a while, recording many a local band & solo artist. Got big into the podcast thing and co-host a couple shows with Border City Radio's Mike LaPlante (Lippo). We do a Mac computer podcast called EzMac Podcast and also a talk radio podcast / live internet radio show called The JABBERCAST.
Lippo & I also teach podcasting & computer audio recording at the the local college. I am still into podcasting, but I have also moved on to live internet radio. That brings us to this show. Previously
live on Saturday mornings, currently podcast only. Hope ya dig it!
